Breed: Shepherd

Age: Baby

Sex: F

Size: LMarsha was rescued from a northern Reserve where she was found starving and alone. She's put some weight on now and is a very friendly and sociable puppy. She's a bit food aggressive though because of her her history as a starving puppy so she should be fed separately from any other dog in a household. Marsha comes on some of our 5km off leash dog hikes and does well, staying with the pack. She can on occasion be a bit dominant of other dogs her own size or smaller - and again we think this could be because she had to fend for herself while living on her own for the first few months of her life before making her way to the shelter. She will be a large dog once full grown; on November 29/11 she stands 17.5 inches at the shoulder. We believe she's just 6 months old at end of Nov/11. She does use the doggy door in the shelter to do her business outside but in a home would likely need house training yet. Because she's been a reserve dog, then a shelter dog she has had no real training and will benefit from obedience class - in fact is the perfect age now to start a class. Photos are updated as of Nov 30/11.
